Research interests

Growth and development in vertebrates; application and development of geometric morphometric methods to study phenotypic evolution; statistical analysis of shape and 3D modelling; theoretical themes in evo-devo

Background

I completed a BSc in Palaeobiology at University College London and an MRes in Biosystematics at Imperial College London and The Natural History Museum, followed by a PhD in Natural Sciences at the University of Zurich, Switzerland (Dr.sc.nat, 2007-2010). I was a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow at Kyoto University, Japan, in 2011. From 2012 to 2015, I was a Swiss (SNF) Postdoctoral Fellow at UNSW and I then continued my research at UNSW as an ARC DECRA Fellow. I have taken part in palaeontological fieldwork in Germany, Switzerland, Venezuela, Morocco, and Australia.
