1968-1977: Worked in England and the Solomon Islands as a geochemist and economic geologist

1977-1980: Employed in the quarry industry
1980: Appointed as Lecturer / Geology UNSW
1991-1997: Head of the School of Mines, UNSW

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Image and Field Spectrometry for geological, environmental and exploration applications.
Polarimetric radar for environmental applications.
Modelling of Geoscience Data in a GIS.

SALINITY MAPPING WITH HYPERSPECTRAL IMAGERY

INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITIES

Research collaboration with the Centre for the Study of Earth from Space, Boulder Colorado.
Past member of NASA Space Shuttle Imaging Radar Science Team.
