Physiology of epithelial tissues of marsupials, particularly:
  • Mechanisms of salivary secretion and their evolution.
  • Adaptation of salivary composition to diet. Renal function and its evolution.
  • Endocrinology of adult marsupials and the development of endocrine tissues and hormonal competence in pouch-young.
  • Aspects of crocodile biology.
