The supervisor of each workarea is to ensure safety inspections are carried out every three months and is responsible for sending a written report to the Safety Officer.

The purpose of workplace inspections is to identify any new hazards that may have arisen in the workplace, to ensure that risk controls are working, and that plant conforms to regulatory requirements and can be used safely. It is also to ensure that environmental and personal monitoring occurs for specific hazards where required.
 
Members of the OHSC will carry out monthly inspections rotating throughout the School so that each workplace shall be inspected annually and verify inspections and ensure corrective actions are being effectively managed.
