UNSW Compliance: Workstation Checklist
UNSW Ergonomic Principles and Guidelines
Occupational Overuse Injury
Work Environment Standards

Supervisors are responsible for implementing and maintaining ergonomic principles in accordance with the UNSW Ergonomic Principles and Guidelines.

As there have been some incidences of overuse and repetitive strain injury within BEES, all staff and students must use the Workstation Checklist to evaluate their work area and implement strategies and procedures to reduce the likelyhood of Occupational Overuse Syndrome (OOS). A Working from Home Checklist is also available.

Any modifications or alterations to rooms, laboratories or workspaces must follow Work Environment Standards to insure no risks or hazards arise from such alterations. This includes the location or installation of plant and equipment, storage cabinets, cupboards, desks or other items of furniture.
