Environment Unit at UNSW
Thursday 23rd March 2006 in Room 456

How is the School of BEES helping to protect the UNSW environment and what extra buzzing could they do?
Guidance and support from the staff and students of the School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences are integral to protecting, managing and enhancing the environment of the UNSW facilities and operations.  With their training and interests directly in alignment with the endeavours that must be undertaken to ensure that UNSW practices what it preaches, they are ideally suited to contribute ideas, research and 'on the ground' help to ensure that their Uniiverstiy is walking the talk of sustainability in the higher education sector.

This presentation from Cameron Little from the UNSW Environment Unit will highlight some examples of environmental project work contributed by students of the School of BEES and in many cases suported by BEES research and academic scientists as technical advisers.  With the introduction of the new UNSW Environmental Management Plan there are now many new opportuities for people from the School of BEES to contribute meaningful input
