In this seminar, aspects of the geology of Vanuatu, determined from four successful espeditions to the archipelago, will be discussed. During these expeditions, the central/northern parts of Pentecost Island were mapped, coral from Malo, Efate, Tanna, Futuna and Erromanga Islands collected for U-series dating, and deep water (<4.25 km) turbidites measured on Maewo Island.
