Student Fisheries Conservation Award
Last week Liz Heagney was awarded the John Holliday Student Conservation award, which comes with a very handsome cheque - congratulations!
The award was for her novel work using baited underwater video of Galapagos shark around Lord Howe Island. Pictured is John Holliday's father; the honourable Penny Sharpe; Liz and Dr Steve Kennelly - DPI Fisheries chief scientist at Cronulla.
This prestigious award was won last year by Dr Matt Taylor.
