Putting plant height on the map UNSW researchers Angela Moles, David Warton, Laura Warman, Shawn Laffan, Andy Pitman, Frank Hemmings, and three collaborators from outside UNSW recently published the first quantification of global patterns in plant height. The average height of plants growing at the equator is about 30 times taller than the average height for species growing at high latitudes.
