Michael Frey (PhD candidate)

Mira van der Ley (PhD candidate) - Surface waters, groundwaters and water-rock interactions in the Lawn Hill region of far NW Queensland. Co-supervisors are Dr Dioni Cendon (ANSTO) and A/Prof David Cohen (UNSW). Mira has received a 3-year AINSE Postgraduate scholarship.

 

Past

Lei Zhao (PhD candidate) - Comparative study of the mineralogy and geochemistry of selective coal, roof and floor seams, Songzhao Basin, SW China and the Sydney Basin, SE Australia. Co-supervised with Prof Colin Ward (UNSW) and Dr David French (CSIRO). 

Dayna McGeeney (Honours candidate) - Stratigraphy and gold distribution in the Kiriwina Formation, Woodlark Island, Papua New Guinea. Co-supervised with A/Prof David Cohen (UNSW). Dayna has received an AINSE Honours scholarship.

Florence Lau (Honours candidate) – Geochemical discrimination of rocktypes and alteration assemblages of the Kulumadau epithermal gold deposit, Woodlark Island, Papua New Guinea. Co-supervisors are A/Prof David Cohen (UNSW), Dane Burkett (UNSW) and Mr Lee Spencer (Kula Gold Pty Ltd).

Kristen Parmeter (Honours, 2011) - A comparative study of fossil site AL90 and two nearby sites, Riversleigh World Heritage Area, northwestern Queensland.
