WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE DEGREE PROGRAMS?

Students enrol in a core program determined by their area of specialization and have the choice to take complimentary electives. In the Bachelor of Science (Communications) and BSc (Media and Communications) programs, students study a major in their specialization with a second major in either Communication or Media and Communications, respectively.

In the BSc (3970) program students take a major in a specific area (Biological Science, Marine Biology, etc.) and either a minor or major in another area - there are lots of choices. In the Advanced Science program, students undertake a study plan which is more defined than the 3970 program. Advanced level courses are available. Students enrolled in Advanced Science also study specialized courses focusing on critical and analytical skills in modern research.
